Welcome!

My name is Alexia, I was born in Canada but am currently a United States resident (you will have to excuse my Canadian spellings). I inherited the collecting gene from my father who is a coin collector, I have vivid memories of my dad pulling out his red velvet-lined numismatics case for us to look at on special occasions and my sister and I would oooooo and ahhhhh over the shiny coins and would concoct stories about pirates and long-lost treasure buried in our massive Canadian winter snowbanks.

From a young age, my parents instilled the notion in me that some things are special and are meant to be handled with care and I always prided myself on taking extremely good care of all my toys and dolls. Growing up in the 90’s I had various collections, including Polly Pockets (Blue Bird, not the strange modern ones), Just the Right Shoe, Sailor Moon and of course, DOLLS. I discovered BJDs in 2010 but it wasn’t until 2012 that I was finally able to purchase my first; a Volks Chii <3

After I moved out of my childhood home, I used my eBay account to sell my old Sailor Moon toys, 15 years later, that same eBay account now sells pre-owned, authentic, ball-jointed dolls and parts in order to help fund new dolls. Unfortunately some of eBay’s new polices have made it increasingly difficult to continue selling on their platform. eBay’s refusal to police their listings and remove the many deceptive recast dolls that flood the search results, have damaged their reputation within the doll community as a safe platform to purchase legitimate dolls. The lack of a formal integrated layaway option has also been an issue for me as a seller. If that weren’t enough, the implementation of Managed Payments has been extremely rocky, so I decided to host my own website to sell on. Here I can pass along my fee savings and have a direct line of communication with buyers 😀 You can still find me on eBay (for now), and of course you can always find me on Den of Angels.

I am strictly pro-artist. Recast (or “fake”) BJDs hurt the community and have no place here, or in my collection.

My doll tastes are…varied. I’m a weird fantasy-alien-faerie lovin’ type of girl. Even though Chii was my first doll, my favourite sculpt is SOOM Topaz, at the moment I have three of her and they collectively known as the “Tri Topi”. Not all of my dolls belong to the same narrative but I do have a select few special characters (whom I call Wanderers), whose character story span across multiple narratives. Some dolls don’t belong to any universe at all and they just sit and look pretty until inspiration strikes.
